Out of Home Experiences
There are so many opportunities for joyful experiences to be found by getting out and about. Of course, for many a simple grocery trip is all that is wanted, but we’ll always look for an opportunity to try something a bit different!
All of our services start with a discovery session.
Our discovery session with a potential client and family members is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know each other. We never ‘sell’ our services and believe that finding a connection with a client and the family is critical to setting us all up for success.
Here are a few things we might might do as part of our out of home experiences:
Every client has a different story. Let’s find the most interesting and stimulating outings: both new experiences and old experiences, revisited.
Beach
The joy of getting our feet wet. Some clients will be able to get in a pool. For others, they just feel sand and water between their feet. Bondi Beach sand mats are now available Thursdays and Saturdays 8.30am-2pm with sand wheelchairs also available to rent. This is such a wonderful initiative.
Old haunts
For those who’ve lived in Sydney for a while, how about an outing to an old haunt, maybe prompted by looking at some old photographs? The location of a first date? A first house? Visiting the grave of an old friend of a loved one? A park that they used to visit?
Movies, theatres, exhibitions
How long has it been since your family member has been to the movies? Maybe it’s time to give it a go? The Ritz in Randwick, for instance, shows some wonderful old classics.
Centennial Park
Yes, it’s a bit of a standard trip (who doesn’t love Centennial Park?) but it’s hard to beat a drive round the park with the windows open, and some favourite tunes pumping out on Spotify.
